enrichment programming
Our morning classes participate in a multiple of field trips throughout the year. Past field trips have included visiting a pumpkin patch, making scarecrows, riding the Christmas train, visiting a Christmas tree farm, visiting the Translink Transit Centre and horseback riding to name a few. These field trips are determined by the classroom teacher yearly in consultation with the parent group. Afternoon classes are, on occasion, invited to join us on our field trips. Each child is required to have an adult attend the field trip as well as provide transportation to and from the event.
Over the years we have had classroom visitors as well, including: Mike's Critters, Indigenous Elders and dancers, O.W.L., a variety of artisans, fire fighters and police officers. We always welcome the opportunity for the children to learn about their community and greater world!
We have two Special Person's Nights, Mother's Day Tea and a Father's Day evening for our morning preschoolers. Our afternoon preschoolers have one Special Person's Night and a Father's Day evening session. The children are very excited to share their experiences at preschool with you and other special people in their lives and we welcome the opportunity to do so.
